Whimsical Windows

No...this is not the big thing I was talking about earlier...but it's still pretty awesome.

Hey everybody!  I started a new blog for my window painting business!  Notice the lovely new tab up above titled "Whimsical Windows".  Click on it and it will take you to my new blog.  I have been hoofing it out in the heat to drum up some business for the upcoming holidays, so if you know anyone in Utah County or Salt Lake County who might be interested...PLEASE oh PLEASE pass this on!  Did that sound a bit desperate?  Well, anyhoo, I'm trying to get the word out, and I am super excited!  Every little bit helps!  Thanks!

Joy to the World!

Each year I am taken aback at how much commercialism is taking over Christmas.  I see more of Santa and Rudolf than I do of Christ.  I am trying to keep Christmas more spiritual this year...taking the focus off of the presents and putting it more on keeping the Spirit close, spending time with my family, teaching and testifying of Christ and the important role he has in each of our lives.  

I found this quote (again by Thomas S. Monson...he IS my favorite!) and I think it really helps put the entire season in perspective

 

 "...Christmas is what we make of it. Despite all the distractions, we can see to it that Christ is at the center of our celebration. If we have not already done so, we can establish Christmas traditions for ourselves and for our families which will help us capture and keep the spirit of Christmas."

I truly hope that all of us can keep the spirit of Christmas near and put Christ back in the center of Christmas where he belongs.

Battlecreek Fall Boutique

 

I will be participating in the Battlecreek Boutique running Oct. 13th through Oct. 15th at the Pleasant Grove Rec Center (65 E 200 S)

I hope that all of you in the Utah County area will take a minute to drop in and check it out!  

Thursday & Friday 9am - 8pm

Saturday 9am - 5pm

These guys have been doing this since 1980--so they know what they're doing!

They have over 55 local artist and crafters selling everything from, Holiday & home decor, floral, baby items, jewelry, clothing, scrapbook, candles, books, vinyl, handbags food, fun, & so much more!

This should be a great opportunity to find some cute decorations for Halloween and fall, plus you can get a jump start on your Christmas shopping.

I have also heard that they have this great food vendor that sells these really 'Big Buns'...that should be reason enough to come down right??
