Happy New Year!!
It's amazing how fast 2011 went by, and here we are in 2012 already! Time to make those New Year's resolutions. I read this truly excellent article by
Elder Jeffery R. Holland, and I think he really put it just right;
"As a new year begins and we try to benefit from a proper view of what
has gone before, I plead with you not to dwell on days now gone nor to
yearn vainly for yesterdays, however good those yesterdays may have
been. The past is to be learned from but not lived in. We look back to
claim the embers from glowing experiences but not the ashes. And when we
have learned what we need to learn and have brought with us the best
that we have experienced, then we look ahead and remember that faith is always pointed toward the future. Faith always has to do with blessings and truths and events that will yet be efficacious in our lives."
I hope that we may all take this time to focus on what we have learned and to look towards the future with a bright and positive perspective.
I wanted to share some really neat projects that I did for some Christmas presents this year. They are all made from scratch board (which is really thick paper with a layer of paint that can be scratched off to reveal the paper underneath). I really loved using this medium. I am debating posting them on Etsy. They wouldn't have to be these prints specifically, but I wouldn't mind doing custom orders. If y'all have an opinion on this, then let me know!

I am also considering making some Dr. Seuss light bulb ornaments to celebrate his birthday coming up in March...I'm thinking The Cat in the Hat, Sam I Am, and maybe a Star-bellied Sneech...Let me know what you think!
